Modification results in enhanced mechanical properties
Chambroad timber go through another step to rotary-cut the trunk along tree rings into veneers for hot-pressing afterwards. This process breaks wood’s radial mechanical distribution, greatly reducing swelling and contraction in radial direction. The hot-pressing procedure afterwards also greatly increase its density to 0.85-1.2 g/cm³, tensile strength, bending strength and so on.
